Tibet Traditional Music

Tidet Traditional Music
Tidetan Monastery Suite
Auspicious Nine Heavens

Ranging over the land are the notes of the quaint stone instrument, imposing brass horn and sounds of the chanting of sutras at the solemn grand summons ceremony. A new spring is coming to the vast snowy plateau. The Dingge has descended from heaven. The Yarlung-Zangbo River is surging towards the sea and the industrious people are ploughing and sowing hope and happiness. It is full of life everywhere in the hight mountains. When wishes and dreams come true, people carry with their hands rich fruits to cherish the memory of their ancestors, offer sacrifices to heaven, and pray for and looking forward to a bright future.

Tibetan Monastry Suite Auspicious Nine Heavens, played with traditional instruments used in Tibetan monasteries and the application of modern techniques, given expression to new content and is a new attempt to expand musical range.

New Creation of traditional Pingju

Ping Opera
Being the second biggest in the operatic genres besides Beijing Opera, it originated from Lotus Song around Luanxian, between Qing dynasty and the Republic period. It absorbs the representation techniques of Bejing and Clapper Operas, and forms Tangshan, Fengtian and other branches. Its tones and melodies are fluent and natural, easy for understanding and very expressive. In the fifties and sixties, it achieved much in developing traditional repertoire and expressing modern life. The performance of such artists as Xian Bai yushuang, Xin Fengxia and Han Shaoyun are Memorable to the public.
